Meeting Jeff Gomez...

The 8 defining characteristics of a transmedia production (by Jeff Gomez):
1) Content is originated by one or a very few visionaries
2) Cross-media rollout is planned early in the life of the franchise
3) Content is distributed to three or more media platforms
4) Content is unique, adheres to platform-specific strengths, and is not
repurposed from one platform to the next
5) Content is based on a single vision for the story world
6) Concerted effort is made to avoid fractures and schisms
7) Effort is vertical across company, third parties and licensees
8) Rollout features audience participatory elements, including:
- Web portal
- Social networking
- Story-guided user-generated content

Allison is looking forward to meeting Jeff Gomez at Cinekid for Professionals on October 21-23, 2009

3 Reasons Your Website Needs A Custom Marketing Video Today!

1) Maximize the impact of your marketing dollars: Renovate your site for a fraction of a full replacement site or even major changes. Video is the perfect supplement for any existing site, and just by nicely integrating it, you can make your site dramatically better without changing anything else at all.

2) SEO, SEO, SEO: Are you satisfied with how your site performs in the major search engines? Most people are always looking for ways to improve, and video is a among the most effective means to improve SEO. And by cross promoting your videos on YouTube and Facebook, video becomes an unbeatably effective social networking tool driving traffic to your site and business to your door.

3) Soon any website without video will be like a company without a website: unheard of. On-line video marketing is growing faster than any other media and it's expected to grow 8-10X in the next five years. What are you waiting for? Video is far and away the most powerful form of communication, and you don't need the ample available research to know it. It's innate. Everybody likes pictures that move best. It's basic human nature. Video appeals to the emotions like nothing else, and all buying is emotional.
